Everything has been designed to feel calm, considered, and easy to explore, so you can take your time imagining what your gathering might become.

Gather your closest people for a long lunch or candlelit dinner in the conservatory — layered, atmospheric, and unmistakably Chouchou.
As the table is set and the space comes to life, this becomes a moment to pause, connect, and host with intention. Glasses clink, conversation lingers, and time stretches just enough to feel indulgent — whether bathed in soft afternoon light or surrounded by the warmth of the evening.
Includes:
– A beautifully set banquet table for 10–18 guests;
– A fully styled unique table-scape, tailored to your aesthetic;
– Complete setup prior to your event and pack down afterwards (please don’t worry about cleaning up too much);
– A thoughtfully prepared space, ready for you to arrive and host with ease. -
Behind the scenes, everything has been thoughtfully prepared ahead of your arrival — so you’re not arriving mid-setup, or managing the details as guests walk through the door.
The table is set, the space is styled, and the atmosphere is already in place — allowing you to step in calm, relaxed, and ready to welcome your guests.
All that’s left for you to consider is your food and drinks. You’re welcome to curate this yourself, or we can assist with trusted local recommendations to bring everything together seamlessly.
For a more elevated experience, you may also wish to arrange waitstaff, allowing you to remain fully present throughout. (Please note Chouchou is an unlicensed venue, so all beverages are BYO.)

A complimentary 1 night, 2 person stay is included for these events. Should you wish to use it personally, or gift it to someone who might be travelling for your event. Check out is at 11am.

From the moment you arrive, everything is thoughtfully prepared — allowing your time at Chouchou to feel calm, and entirely your own. Our fees cover blocking the stay for 3 nights, this is essential to allow you a full event day breathing space around ordinary guest check in/out times, including the days before and afterwards, so you’re welcome to arrive a day early to bring anything in.
We work quietly behind the scenes to ensure your gathering flows with ease, from the early stages of planning through to your time at the table and into the afternoon or evening that follows.
We recommend allowing time to arrive, settle in, and enjoy the space without feeling rushed — whether that’s easing in beforehand, or lingering a little longer once your guests have gone.

We coordinate with you on timing, guest numbers, and any styling or additions to ensure everything feels aligned with your plans.
We can connect you with trusted local caterers, florists, and creatives if required, or work seamlessly alongside your existing suppliers. Should you prefer a more hands-off approach, we’re also able to take care of everything for you — simply let us know.
Final details are confirmed ahead of your arrival, so everything is ready for you to step into and enjoy.

You might begin in the courtyard with an apéritif, before gently drawing guests to the table — a soft ding of your glass, and the moment unfolds from there.
Everything has been thoughtfully prepared in advance, allowing you to remain present at the table, enjoying it as much as your guests.

As your gathering comes to an end, the space gently settles around you.
There is no rush — simply time to linger, enjoy the final moments, and allow the experience to wind down at its own pace.
The following day, our team will quietly return to reset the space, taking care of pack down and cleaning so you can leave without concern.

You’re always warmly invited back, with a 20% returning guest offering, no matter the occasion.

Please note — presently Chouchou does not provide catering or waitstaff as part of the private events package. This gives you the freedom to build a menu that is entirely personal to you, whether that's a long Italian feast, a classic French dinner, canapés from your favourite local chef, or something beautifully unexpected.
I have built relationships with a number of wonderful local caterers, private chefs, and waitstaff services over the years, and I am delighted to connect you with those whose style and standard suit what you have in mind. I will happily make the introduction and start the conversation on your behalf.
The catering engagement, including menu, pricing, and payment is then arranged directly between you and the caterer.

– A $1,000 bond applies to some packages and is refunded within 24 hours
– We encourage you to fully enjoy your event — leave the table as it is, our team will take care of the rest.
– All tableware is provided, including crockery, cutlery, and glassware (wine, champagne, and water). We consult on napery, table cloths and candle colours before your event. We want every table to look different.
– Additional pieces such as champagne buckets and serving ware are included. If there is anything you’re needing specifically, please let us know.
– Bespoke additions can be arranged, including handwritten place cards, custom menus, and personalised table details.
If you are hosting an event for more than 18 people (which is the maximum for a seated table in the cafe) send an enquiry so we can make sure it’s possible and perfect for you and your guests.

I’ve always been drawn to hosting — to the quiet ritual of setting a table, creating a mood, and bringing people into a space that feels considered and a little bit special.
It began with childhood tea parties, and over time became something more — a love of creating experiences that feel beautiful, immersive, and memorable in a way that lingers long after you leave.
Whether it’s a wedding morning, a long lunch, or simply guest accommodation, I’ve always believed in spaces that invite you to slow down, reconnect, and take it all in. The kind you leave feeling a little lighter, a little inspired, or simply glad you were there, even for a moment.
Chouchou is a reflection of that.
Over the years, my passion for hosting and events has evolved into a career in wedding planning and styling, having founded Bang Event Co in 2016, and I’m excited to be back in an industry I’m so passionate about! With my work featured across publications including Hello May,Nouba, Ivory Tribe, WedShed & others (c. 2020). More recently, I’ve spent the past six years immersed in short-stay hosting — continuing to shape thoughtful, design-led experiences for others to enjoy.
I remain closely involved in each Chouchou booking with a wonderful team of women who assist at every twist and turn, and I’m always open to exploring ideas, answering questions, and helping bring something truly special to life for you, and with you.
